On the Road with Dr. Sinatra

This past week, we were back in beautiful southern California for the Longevity Now Conference, presented by raw food guru David Wolfe in Costa Mesa.

The kick-off event was dinner at Au Lac, a local vegan restaurant that served several courses of raw food dishes, along with an elixir to promote digestion and an avocado smoothie at the end of the meal.  Sixty of the presenters and conference staff and supporters shared exciting concepts about optimizing health through diet and nutrition.

For Dr. Sinatra and I, it was great opportunity to meet new people, as well as catch up with Clint Ober, Dr. Sinatra’s co-author of Earthing: The Greatest Health Discovery and Clint’s partner Elizabeth Hughes, as well as with Bob Austen, our business manager from Healthy Directions.

The conference itself was a sell-out, despite these economic times, with 1,000 people attending and another 400 signed up for the online live webcast that will remain available through March 2011.

Dr. Sinatra keynoted the opening session Friday evening and gave the audience an animated presentation on electro-pollution and “earthing” that generated much excitement. Meanwhile, Clint had “grounded” all the chairs in the room, so participants could experience the phenomenon. Clint’s large grounded area of the exhibit hall was also a great area to sit and network between lectures and booths all weekend.

David Wolfe, a dynamic presenter who is considered a groundbreaking expert in nutrition, has been generating these conferences—and a lot of excitement about healthy eating—for quite a while now. His motto to “have your best day ever” is both uplifting and inspiring.

His message to put the power to achieve optimum health back in your own hands encourages folks to make healthy personal lifestyle choices. Wolfe has been referred to as the “rock star” of the nutrition world, and is definitely on the same page as Dr. Sinatra when it comes to taking responsibility for your own health, and learning how to meet that challenge in a way that makes you feel more empowered—and more alive!

Wolfe and Dr. Sinatra both share a mission to inform and educate people on how to take responsibility for their own health, and enjoy rich and vibrant lives.
